"Xigbar! Xigbar!"
There was a hasty knock on the door and Saix barged in, looking slightly flustered. Xigbar had his feet on the desk and was eating a piece of pizza while making aeroplanes from old paperwork. The walls were decorated with some posters of scantily clad women, a rather crude drawing of Axel with a couple of darts stuck in it and last year's baby rabbits calendar (probably a horrible present from Marluxia).
Number II looked up. "Yeah?"
"There's a...girl...running about in the Hall of Empty Melodies. Half the Organization's down there. Says she wants the leader."
"Well then, go get Xemnas, moon man! I'm busy."
"He's not here!"
With a loud false sigh, Xigbar got up and left the room. Saix closed the door and followed.
Downstairs about half of Organization XIII were gathered in a small crowd around a girl sitting on the floor. She looked around sixteen or seventeen and had long purple hair and yellow-orange eyes. Her clothes and hair were soaking wet and she seemed to be talking to herself. A few members were laughing.
Demyx, who had gone to help her up, received a sharp slap to the right side of his face and ran off whimpering. "Where is Xemnas? Where? Where?" Her gaze met Axel's for a moment and she seemed to stop.
"Xemnas isn't here," said Xigbar matter-of-factly.
"Very well," said the strange girl, but made no effort to go anywhere. "Let me join this Organization of yours. I lost my heart a few weeks ago." She stood with her head on one side as if waiting for an answer.
"Well, I don't know about that..."
"Stand back," she bellowed, and raised her hand. Meteors rained down on the unsuspecting Organization, who gave yelps of protest and attempted to flee in various directions. Then there was a small explosion and a blinding light which filled the hall. When the smoke cleared had, the room was in tatters with large holes in the floor, some things on fire and there were bits of rock everywhere. She clicked her fingers and everything repaired itself.
"Not bad," Xigbar commented, looking fairly impressed. Marluxia now sported an impressive black eye and Larxene's hair was standing on end. The purple-haired Nobody turned around, winked at the rest of the Organization and followed Xigbar back up the stairs.
When the Organization's new Number XIV came into the garden, wearing the Organization coat and with her hair tied back in a ponytail, only Axel and Roxas were there, sitting on a bench and looking up at the stars. Axel gave a look of disgust and disappeared. Number XIV took his seat on the bench.
"Hello, Roxas," she said cheerfully, gazing up at the large heart-shaped moon.
"Hello...what's your name?"
She smiled. "Ryuxi."
"Do you remember your true name?"
She looked rather taken aback at this question and it took her a few minutes to answer. "No. No, I don't."
"That's all right." He smiled lazily. "I wonder where Axel went all of a sudden."
"Axel..."
"Hm? Do you like him?"
"What?! Oh. I...I guess so..." she replied, turning slightly pink.
"Haha! Well, I suppose I had better go back inside now. It's getting cold." Roxas got up and walked back towards the castle.
"Axel. So that's his name..." she muttered to herself.
Suddenly the redhead appeared by her side. "Yup. Got it memorized?"
Ryuxi jumped.
"A-X-E-L. Axel. And keep your hands off Roxas. I'm onto you."
