The darkness in his heart was growing. You could see it radiating from his eyes. He was going to take it to the next level. It was no longer enough to hurt people, he had to see them bleed and beg for death. He was far past his old self. The remaining fragments of goodness in his heart were now lost forever, all that was left in him was darkness.
"Sasuke!" Sakura screamed as his eyes took on the red glow of the Uchiha kekei genkai. He did not register what she said, at that point in time he was too far gone to register anything anymore.
Sakura fell to her knees as Sasuke charged towards her with every intention of eradicating her, She saw the hate in his eyes the lust for blood, both traits that were never there before.
The Sasuke she knew and loved was never cruel. Despite turning into a criminal and abandoning the Hidden Leaf village, Sasuke always had reasons for what he did. He was an avenger.
Naruto instinctively pushed Sakura aside and with two shadow clones prepared his rasengan to counter Sasukes deadly chidori.

Naruto's heart was aching with conflicting emotions. He knew this was the last stand. Either he would die or they would both die together.
He charged with full force towards his best friend, his brother.
"Can you hear me Sasuke? We are finally at the end. I never gave up on you I just want to say I am sorry I couldn't bring you back," Naruto's thoughts took on a voice of their own.
"I am not going to die idiot, and there is no way you could have brought me back can't you see? I am an avenger. I will destroy this village for what it has done to my family, I will kill every single person and make them suffer, until they understand,"
"I am sorry Sasuke," Naruto whispered as a single tear formed in the corner of his eye.
The two opposing forces collided, creating a white light that engulfed everything along with absolute silence.
When it all cleared and both sound and light returned Sasuke and Naruto bodies were splayed on the ground. They were covered in blood and not moving.
For a long moment Sakura could not comprehend what it all meant. She began to shake and shiver as if the air was freezing cold. Tears filled her eyes and streamed down her face as she realised they could both be dead, her best friends. The boy she loved and the courageous knuckle headed ninja that always surprised everyone.
"Naruto!"She cried out before rushing to him and Sasuke. She was a medical ninja but all knowledge seemed lost to her. Also their bodies were growing cold. They both had stopped breathing
