A Mouse's Journey Home
Scurry scurry little mouse
Find your way back to your house
Your journey filled with pain and sorrow
But keep on looking towards tomorrow
Where peace will reign, and violence gone
But remember it's always darkest before the dawn
So find your way through the maze
Filled with traps for the innocent preys
You'll watch as friends and comrades fall
As they heed death's compelling call
You'll push aside your grieving heart
For battle is a fickle art
That needs attention to every detail
Unless you stumble through the whispering veil
But you are strong and never falter
A pawn whose path even the gods can't alter
You're tiny family will struggle on
Suffering losses as you fight the devil's spawn
But in the end your side will win
Making its way through the din
There will be time to grieve and mourn
To rest your bodies, oh so worn
The future is clear and now yours to control
But for now just rest that weary soul
And now without further delay
