If you are a mistake,

Then you're the finest I've ever made.

And if this ain't fate,

Then nothing is true.

Imagining me in your arms,

and imagining me with you,

Makes my heart beat fast,

and makes my back get all tingly.

We've been through this enough,

to know it doesn't work,

and yet,

I almost want to try anyway.

At every dance,

when I'm alone,

I imagine you there,

dancing the night away with me,

not some other girl,

just me.

But you don't dance much,

so even if you were there,

I'd be alone.

You wouldn't change for anything.

But would you dance?

With a girl who,

has given up on love,

to satisfy her deeply hidden dream,

of dancing until the clock strikes midnight

with her tin foil prince?

Would you place forget-me-nots on her locker,

when she's sick,

because you know they brighten her day?

I think not.

You aren't that kind of boy.

You balk away from anything cutsie.

And know that she does to.

The girl that has lost hope in love,

but secretly craves it;

and,

the boy who lost it once,

and now hurts others to get something similar to it?

Are we destined to,

circle each other,

until one of us makes a move,

that ends in disaster,

because of,

miscommunication-again?

Or are we inevitable?

Like a comet passing the earth?

Like the sunrise and sunset?

Or the phases of the moon?

Or are we simply doomed

to disaster,

like the old great civilizations

done in by pride?

We'll never know,

if we never try.

But if we try,

things will either end well,

or messily,

most likely the later.

But is that okay?

If it's just this once?

Fate my draw us together again,

someday;

or not.

But for now let us,

be a mistake,

a messy mistake,

that may lead to

heartbreak and ruin.

But the mistake is worth it because we're together.

When we are together,

everything is magical,

and that makes,

the mistake,

worth it.
