Kyoko sat in her living room looking out the window at the rain. She wondered if it would ever stop long enough to let the stars sparkle through. The low lighting was making her sleepy as she fiddled with the tassels of the brown throw blanket that lay across her lap. Kyoko's brown hair was swaying as she began to nod off until finally her light brown eyes disappeared completely behind her eyelids. Just as she had entered a state of sleep a loud bang at the door made her jerk back awake. The noises put her old hero instincts back in action as she crept slowly to the door all the while holding an umbrella up like a sword. In one swift motion she yanked the door open but, what she found was far from what she had expected. At the door stood Cube a demon butler for the human kingdom but seeing him was not the biggest surprise as she saw a young girl wrapped in a black robe in his arms.
"Hero, we need your help once again." Cube said as Kyoko moved aside to let the butler pass. Cube walked into the front room and put the young girl down on the couch. The black cape fell opened a little just enough for Kyoko to see her bright orange hair. She knew well who the child was, she was a princess candidate.
"Cube, what is going on? What is a Princess Candidate doing here?" Kyoko said as a very bad feeling began to creep into her gut.
