Notes: Spoilers for up to Lesson 28 (IIRC). And I've seen about three episodes with Ken in them, so sorry if he seems OOC.

"I can't believe they already have Christmas decorations up this early."Ran rolled her eyes. She had invited Ken along on her errand running in the hopes that it would improve team morale (and she might find a way to get their newest member to get excited about training instead of just goofing off and counting on his natural talent to save his backside), but thanks to said newest teammate stopping and staring at the new decorations in every store they passed by, it wasn't working out as she had hoped.
"Of course they're up early. It's a decoration store, that's how they make money." Ran grabbed his arm, but Ken refused to be moved.
"Hey, look, they even have some mistletoe!" Ken's face lit up as he stroked his beard with his free hand. "Maybe I should get some and look for some cute girls. It's never too early to get into the spirit of things, right?"
For some reason, even the suggestion of Ken kissing someone made Ran's face heat up, but she ignored that as she finally dragged him away from the store window with one good pull. "There'll be plenty of time for spirit when it's December."
