It was a case that he never seen before, and he wasn't sure if it would ever be solved. AU.
Prologue
He stared at the patient before him with disbelief written in his eyes, not believing what she just asked him.
He hesitated in answering her question.
She gazed at him straight in the eyes, almost as if she was challenging him in a stare off, feeling almost as if...she was reading his soul and mind, just based off on the expression and body language he was giving.
"I'm waiting."
The voice startled the man out of his thoughts, realizing that he never even answered her question at all...and he wasn't really sure if he even wanted to.
" ," he began, "I don't really think this question is appropriate enou-" He was cut off suddenly, "Will you just answer the damn question?"
"Fine, fine, I will answer your question ..." He began tugging at his shirt lightly, feeling hot all of a sudden.
"I guess...I play with my hands sometimes..." He trailed off, feeling embarrassed.
No, he did not participate in such activities. He just has free time to do some of his hobbies, like arts and crafts, collecting objects.
She bursted out laughing.
He sighed.
'I'm not sure if this is going anywhere,' Natsu thought to himself, thinking about the progress that they somewhat made, 'She always seems like she's out in her own little world, and every question I ask she always seems to try to ignore me, or tune me out...' He glanced over to his patient, 'Is she singing twinkle twinkle little star?' He once again asked himself, shaking his head a few times.
"So, Lucy, I was wondering if you could answer a few questions on this paper that I have for you?" He asked her gently, pushing a pencil and paper towards her.
"I want to leave." She said suddenly.
He almost fell out of his chair.
"B-But, our appointment isn't done for another hour or tw-" He stopped himself, now realizing that she left the room with her chair tipped over onto the floor and the door left wide open.
He sighed.
'Will this case ever be solved?' Natsu thought, shuffling a few stacks of papers.
Ok, so, I know I have other stories going on that I need to get to.
But just to be honest, I really have no idea where The Runaway is going at the moment.
Anyways, this story is more of something fun to write that I thought of for a little while, but it's not going to be long at all.
It's more of a light-hearted story with some humor in it, it may get serious later but it's just something to write for fun.
