Saving Me
Owen wanted to die after losing Katy. God knows he'd tried drinking himself to death often enough.
It was Jack who'd saved him, that time.
When he'd used the second glove, Jack thought he'd saved him again.
Owen wasn't so sure.
"You'll live forever. I get to die forever."
Owen saw Toshiko press her hands to arm. He knew they should feel warm. But he couldn't feel them. He couldn't feel anything.
He wished he could've been saved for real – heart beating, alive and breathing.
Owen glanced at Toshiko.
This living-and-dying existence…
He wished Jack hadn't saved him at all.
