It rains.

The rain pounds heavily on the ground down below and the winds howl violently.

He feels the rain on his face as he continues to run, yet he does not mind. He could hardly tell the rain from the tears running down on his cheeks.

He feels the wind blow on his hair, yet he does not mind. He is running in the same direction as the wind does, and sometimes, the wind just loses to him.

It was almost dangerous, this stunt that he is trying to pull unintentionally. Asphalt and cement were slippery, and when his soles get off the road and touches grass, wet grass, he almost slips because the soil was soft, and does not feel like the road does.

He almost slips, yet he does not mind. He had much greater falls in the past that left him with injuries, and through time, he had learned how to fall, and more than that, bear the pain that comes with the fall.

Yet just a few moments ago, he experienced the greatest fall, and this time, he does not learn how to catch himself. What he had learned was not enough, and the pain was quite too much to bear.

He cannot accept the truth.

He slips a second time, this time completely coming into contact with the mud, the soil, the grass.

And he decides not to get up and run away. He can't run away anymore. The distance that he has set apart from what was to be was quite enough for him.

He gives the grass a tug, and he screams. He lets out all emotion which has been void to all humans he ever knew, to all those people that he truly loved, to people who would not like to see him like this. He always hides his emotions.

And now was an exception.

The rain seems to stop that very moment. He does not feel the raindrops. All he feels was the wind. Yet he still heard the rain, and he knew that someone or something seemed to be blocking it from him.

He looked up to meet a pair of cerulean eyes. They were intense, deep... Like it pierced a hole through him.

"It's about him, isn't it?"

And at that very moment, he just broke. He stood up and received a hug from his friend. It was rather... Warm... And he appreciated that.

"Fujiko..."

And Fuji just stays there, comforting his best friend. He needed someone right now, he needed someone to relieve him of the pain.

Somehow, this is enough for him. This is enough to relieve him. It's enough...

...For now.
