Disclaimer: I don't own Cordelia or Doyle. Joss Whedon does. I, however, own the dragon.
Summary: "It's all the same thing. Fight the good fight—whichever way you can."
"Tell you what—you fight, and I'll keep score.
Author's Note: I wrote this after watching the finale. Reviews would be very much appreciated, but they aren't really recommended.
Keeping Score"So this is what you've been doing all this time up here?"
"Yep."
"Doesn't it ever get…you know, boring?"
"A bit. But patience is a virtue."
"Why are you keeping score while he's fighting down there anyway?"
"I'm just keeping a promise, princess."
Cordelia watched through a large glowing sphere the fight that took place in the alley. "Oh! He just killed the dragon!" she exclaimed, bouncing up and down with joy.
Doyle uncapped the black marker and made another mark on the big white board behind him. "Well, we have to go use the other side now," he commented.
