Cloud Watchers

Asuma enjoyed sunshine. It was pretty nice.

He was starting to enjoy shade too. After all, cloud's gave pretty good shade.
His first time watching the cloud's with Shikamaru was when Chouji had become very sick, and Shikamaru was training for the Chuunin Exam. It often would just be himself and the genin, as Chouji was hurt, and Ino had to tend to her family's flower shop.

That's why after forty-five minuets of training (quite a lot, concerning Shikamaru!)
he allowed Shikamaru to laze about in the shade and stare up at the sun.
Asuma, having nothing better to do, laid beside him.

They watched the cloud's together, and Asuma had to say, Shikamaru wasn't bad company, just not very active company.

The next day it rained, so they played Go inside.
It was fun enough, though it got on Asuma's nerves quickly as he could never beat Shikamaru, who eventually sighed and said "This is too troublesome." and stopped.

The next time they watched cloud's they laid close. It was three days until the exam, and closeness was a virtue, wasn't it? Especially between teacher and students.

After the attack on Konoha, Shikamaru thanked his teacher for the 'heroic' saving, and then they lay together. He put his arms around his student, holding him close, his heart beating, and distraction in his thoughts.

The next day, they lay as lovers did. Kissing, Holding, moaning, fondling, panting and using the sacred words, only reserved for certain people, and that was that.

They had a repeat performance not long ago.
Shikamaru lay in his arms, using Asuma's chest as a pillow, not complaining about the chest hair, or the way Asuma's chest moved, but enjoying the warmth.
It had been many years since the first time, and now there were no more exams either could pass, and both were still full of youth and life. (As much life as Shikamaru could stand.)

Shikamaru never lost his lazy disposition, though he had grown taller, more handsome, and smarter.
Asuma didn't care though, and he stroked the younger man's hair.

"Hey, Shika."
"Hm?...What do you want?"
and Asuma grinned. "I think watchin' the clouds is one of the best things in life."
