I do not own DP nor do I own the song Hundred by the Fray.

Danny sighed, staring out the window of his small bedroom, rain falling hard.
Life was just getting more and more complicated as he grew it seemed.
Well, he knew it was supposed to, but this seemed drastic.
All of these things that were happening to him.
How was it that he could be feeling these ways for the person he had come to know as a sister like figure?
Sam.
Even thinking her name made his cheeks gain color and his heart skip a beat.
She was…
Perfect.
She was everything he ever needed, and ever wanted.
The how I can't recall
But I'm staring at what once was the wall
Separating east and west
Now they meet amidst the broad daylight
She had always been there for him.
No matter how horrible of a person he was back to her.
No matter how much he pushed her away.
She listened him when he needed hope.
She held him when he needed comfort.
So this is where you are, and this is where I am
Somewhere between unsure and a hundred
He was pulled out of his thoughts when there was a knock to his door.
"Ah, uh. Come in!" He heard the knob turn and saw a pale face peek in. He blushed.
"Hey." Sam stepped in and closed the door behind her. "You called?" She pulled her hands behind her back and rocked on her heels quietly.
It's hard I must confess
I'm banking on the rest to clear away
Cause we have spoken everything
Everything short of I love
"Uh. Yeah!" He stood, wiping his sweaty hands on jeans, nervous and shaking.
Why was he doing this?
What would he do if she said 'no'?
She smiled cutely and all thoughts and concerns were gone.
You right where you are, from right where I am
Somewhere between unsure and a hundred
"I needed to tell you something…" He said, stepping to her. She was wet, he just noticed.
Cocking her head to the side she spoke, "Alright, go on then."
He looked down.
"I – uh…" Why was this so hard?!
Why couldn't he to this?
"Danny?" He looked up. She was gorgeous, her eyes we're sparking with curiosity.
And he couldn't help him self…
And who's to say it's wrong
And who's to say that it's not right
Where we should be for now
He leaned in and laid his lips on hers.
He felt her tense and he wrapped his arms around her waist, she sighed through her nose, her soft breath floating over his face as she snaked her arms to his neck.
So this is where you are, and this is where I am
So this is where you are, and this is where I've been
Somewhere between unsure and a hundred
When he pulled away from her, he leaned his forehead against hers.
"I love you."
