Progress has slowed down but I just felt like writing some Fallout 3 stuff.
The warmth of Moira's shop engulfed the young Vault Dweller as she entered the small store. Light shone through the many holes and cracks of the scrap metal sheets that had been repurposed to serve as walls and a roof. Sighing quietly Yu grasped the sides of her helmet and pulled it off. She still felt uncomfortable inside Power Armor even though she used it everyday, she just couldn't get used to the bulkiness that the suit had that a suit of Combat Armor didn't. "Moira?" She called out as her eyes scanned the dark room. Her usual guard wasn't standing near the entrance and the counter where Moira usually stood was empty. "Just one moment...oh dear." Yu heard the saleswoman say from above. Smiling to herself Yu placed her helmet on the countertop and ran a hand through her damp hair, she had been inside the suit for the entire day and the warmth from outside just circulated from her suit making a full loop through her body and it served to make her uncomfortable as she traveled in the Capital Wasteland. Yu walked to where Moira's guard usually stood and leaned against the wall, her eyes fluttered closed and her mind transported her to the past.
She could hear giggling, see a flicker of light, her eyes opened and suddenly she was back in her old home, Vault 101. Amata's face was dimly lit up by her Pip-Boy light and she giggled once more as she leaned closer to Yu. "Isn't this fun?" She had whispered to Yu. Yu had only nodded stupidly as Amata's lips one more found their way to Yu's pale neck, a soft gasp had escaped her lips and Amata had looked up at her, a small smile on her face.
Blinking rapidly, Yu escaped the happy memory and focused on the scrap metal wall with a faint blush on her cheeks. What would Amata say if she saw Yu now? The last thing she had told Amata was to be safe before she had been forced out by gunfire and security. She could still see Amata's face as she looked at her for the final time, her bottom lip quivering slightly as she struggled to keep in her tears. "Aaaand done." Moira's cheerful voice immediately brought a smile onto Yu's face. The young woman trotted down the stairs with a huge grin on her face and it seemed to get larger as she caught sight of her 'Number One' customer. "Yu. What a surprise." Moira said as she made her way behind her counter. "I thought you liked surprises?" Yu asked as she dropped her bag on the counter with a loud thunk. Moira's eyes widened slightly as her fingers twitched in anticipation, "Find anything good out there?" She asked ignoring Yu's question. Placing a finger onto her chin Yu thought for a few seconds before opening the bag, "You know me Moira. I only bring the best junk for the best saleswoman." Yu replied with a large grin.
"Oh come on." Moira giggled as her hands greedily reached forward to pull out the contents from the bag, "I'm not that good.". Shaking her head, Yu leaned on the counter and tapped her fingers on the metal, "The best." Yu replied firmly. Moira gave her a half nod as her attention was drawn in by all the interesting junk in front of her. "Think you can create something from this? My Plasma Rifle hasn't been cooperating all that well lately." Yu asked as she grabbed her rifle from where it hung from her back and placed it onto the counter. Moira's attention changed to the rifle that lay on the counter, "Oh, I've wanted to fix one of these for the longest of times." Moira exclaimed with a giggle as she gently picked up the energy weapon. Yu grinned and picked up her now empty bag, "I'll be in town for a few days. I'll come find you when I leave." Yu told Moira as she slung her bag behind her back and picked up her helmet. "Oh." Moira finally looked up from the rifle and junk, "Goodbye Yu.". Yu waved her hand in goodbye and opened the door that led outside.
