Prologue
The leader screeched and wailed. She bumped and cried out. Every warrior in RubyClan awoke, staring at Amberstar. Her mate, Willowfur rushed outside. So did the medicine cat, Rosetail, with herbs. Amberstar quickly ate the herbs and calmed down. Willowfur and Rosetail dragged the leader into the nursery.
"What happened?" hissed Rosetail.
All that I know is that she was sleeping still, then started squirming, then next moment, she is screeching, crying out, wailing, and yelling! And when I looked back, she was gone. Then, I found her outside," scowled Willowfur.
The whole clan knew that Amberstar would soon get kits. Amberstar didn't go out for hunting or scouting. She always was mostly resting but sometimes checking the clan.
"We'll have to leave her. As you know, for minor clans, you must leave the leader when she has kits, for each kit of a leader may destroy all of our cats," Rosetail whispered. Willowfur and Rosetail left the den and waited. Suddenly, there was a flash of blue and green light. There was a wail and a green, misty cat flew out and disappeared. Willowfur and the medicine cat came in. Inside, Amberstar was smiling then trembled. Also, three kits were cuddling all together.
"The amber one is named Amberkit. The white one is named Icekit. And the black one is named Shadowkit," Amberstar smiled. Then she trembled. "But the prophecy is:
"Amber and Ice combined together,
Shadow shall fall from Life's weather
But Chaos shall rise,
But be warned, you shall rather be wise."
