First up I know I should be writing FNAF so don't start and yes it has been a long time (sorry)
However I have accidentally gotten myself back into the hunger games :/ And then I thought hmm storytime and yeah this happened
Basically this is set in an alternate universe (AU whatever you want to call it) where instead of having twelve tributes in the arena there are 144 (twelve from each district (minus thirteen) 6 boys and 6 girls) and then stuff happens. (Spoilers ;) (Ijustmadeadoctorwhoreferancelol))
So yeah if you read this enjoy.(Also its a short chapter sorry)
P.S I will add in two OC's to the story (possibly more if I feel like it). It will be the best two (in my opinion) so either link me a picture or write in the reviews describing what your character looks like, age, choice of weapons,Enemy or Ally etc.
I really hate the days that the people for the hunger games get chosen. I don't watch the games if I can help it. The peacekeepers come and boss you about and tell you what to do trying to keep the peace. Then there is that awful Mangolia Streets (I hate her more than the reaping sometimes) she thinks she's all cool but she's not. The reaping are awful especially if you're picked. I wish the games had never come.
I'm district twelve and really nervous. I haven't been picked yet and I'm hoping it's not me any time soon.
It's tough but I get through it. It's hard for those who suffer. I don't watch. I don't want to watch but I do, I'm fascinated in a way.
The siren sounds, I finish getting ready and head with the others from my district to sign in.
The sign in is just basically a blood/DNA test and it's pretty simple. You hold out your hand and they zap your fingers. But there's something after the reaping that scares me if I am to be chosen for the games…
One hundred and-forty-four people go in, only two come out.
Mangolia Streets walks onstage with the mayor of district twelve.
She takes her place in front of the microphone and says as usual:
"Hello, welcome to the reaping but before we choose our tributes we have a video, from the Capitol"
The video music starts
I look around for my best mate, Callum. He stares at me and mouths:
"War terrible war"
I give him the faintest smile because I could feel a peacekeeper staring at me.
The video finishes and Mongolia Streets regains her composure.
"Now we will choose the tributes. As usual Ladies first!"
She walks over to the first giant glass bowl and reaches her hand into the glass bowl full of our names. She removes one and goes back to the microphone.
"Our first tribute is: Madison Loushenci"
Madison is sixteen and a really good hunter but as she walks on stage her face is pale and tense.
The same process happens until we reach the last tribute for the girls.
Mangolia come back to the microphone, with a bit of paper in her hand.
"And our last tribute for the girls is: Morgan Baker."
My heart is in my mouth, everybody turns to look at me. Slowly I walk up to the stage but as I reach the steps leading to it I freeze scared stiff. I make myself walk up the stairs and stand to with the other girls. I stare at the ground as Mongolia says:
"And now for the boys"
I watch as Mangolia picks out a boy.
"Our first boy tribute is: Callum Turner."
I look up, close to crying. Not Callum, it can't be.
