Just a drabble I came up with. Tell me what you think.

They were a group of people joined by the same emotion of loss and hatred for the bestselling author Jess Mariano. Today the hope drained out of them. Men who had once hated each other were now joined in unison.

Today was the day; Lorelai Leigh Gilmore married Jess Mariano. All of them had tried to win her heart and all had failed. Amongst them were ones that had come so close and others who had never had a chance. They were all Rory Gilmore's rejects. None understood how the once brooding hoodlum had won her heart, he from an outsiders perspective could have been said to be the worst but he still had managed to conquer where the others had failed, and that is why they hated him.

They held a mutual loss each with a tale to tell.

Dean: he had been her first everything, but she had been taken by the hoodlum. Dean had been loved by her town and her mother. He treated her like a princess; put her above all even his wife, but still he had lost her. He was left empty and in love with her.

Tristan: he had never really gotten anywhere with her, but he had tried and was rejected daily, he had been taken away before he had a chance. Liked by her grandfather, but no. She had been the only one to ever reject him, he left longing for her.

Marty: he had stood aside as trying hard but never getting the chance as others made better progress to charm her. He would only ever be the friend, and other relationships were destroyed because he tried to start a new and forget, but Rory Gilmore is impossible to forget.

Logan: he had been the one to make the most progress but still she shut him down. Her grandparents loved him. Her father liked him. Even managing to get her mother to like him to some extent. He had lived with her. He had supported her and stolen a yacht with her. He had wiped her tears and introduced her to the world of riches but eventually she too had turned him down.

Steve: had met her on the campaign trail, her mother and grandparents liked him as well as her town and he had a great intellectual mind to challenge her which even made Luke approve, he was kind and loyal treating her how the town expected.

But none of them had been able to keep her but Jess had.

Jess: he was the bad boy, no one approved of and everyone disliked, even Luke his own uncle thought he wasn't good enough. He disappointed her and let her down. Broke her wrist. Left multiple times. He broke her heart.

This is what they saw of him and they didn't understand why he was the one she wanted.

Rory Gilmore looked in the mirror and smiled. This was it this was the day she got to marry him, and she couldn't help but grin.

When she thought of Jess: he was the boy who was only nice to her, the one who she could discuss books and movies with for hours. He was the boy who had made sure she was all right who had let her make her choices and waited. He didn't feel the need for anyone's approval. He had been the one who kept coming back for her, the one who felt he needed to become a better version of himself for her. She had always believed in him and he in her. He pushed her to pursue her dreams. He pointed out her mistakes. He wasn't afraid to challenge her and tell her she was wrong. But supported her defended her. She counter balanced him, what he did for her she did in return. She didn't have to change for him but strived for the best anyway and he for her. Most of all he knew her almost better than she knew herself. Over the years he had proved her right that he was worth believing in him, that he wasn't all bad and anyone could see how much he loved her. He had earnt everyone's approval even Lorelai's and Emily's.

She loved him. She believed they were soul mates. He had an effect on her even now that drew her to him it was like nothing else. Unlike all her previous loves, likes and lusts, she was in love with him.
