No win scenarios
Kirk felt his eyes blurring, not because he was crying well, maybe a bit but mostly because of the radiation.
He could feel it eating him, the pain consuming him. But that pain was slowly turning numb.
for the first time Kirk admitted to himself that there are no win scenarios, he couldn't believe his last moments were spent agreeing with Spock, he wasn't upset though, it may be a no win scenario for him but not for the ship or his crew. So in a way he had been right Kirk had won in the end, because his crew was safe.
Funny that he would end up just like his Dad, he had sworn to never do what his Dad did when he became captain, that there would always be another way but it looked like fate had another idea. He had never understood his Dad until now, he had thought his Dad had lost, had given up that he hadn't tried hard enough but now he did. Because his father had won just like him, they had both saved their crew and that was a win in his book.
