Alice Goes To Meetings
A/N: Oneshot, idea just hit me, I love Alice, and this is so her........
Alice POV
"Hello, my name is Alice Cullen and I am a shopaholic." the group responded "Hello Alice!"
"I knew I had a problem when shopping began interfering with all aspects of my life. My Friends and Family began distancing themselves from me. Everything I did was somehow tied to shopping. How I was going to spend money, how I would look in whatever new dress, how my friends and family would look in what I bought them. I even began buying things that were not in my size! I had to have them!"
Everyone around me in the group began nodding. My story was familiar to them. I had to downplay the scope of my problem. They would not understand me spending a million dollars on Manolo's in every size and color because I loved them. I had to keep up the illusion.
"My family made me come to this meeting, I did not come here on my own. I am embarrassed to admit I have a problem...... But I do! I hope one day to make amends to everyone I have hurt, and to once again gain the trust and love of my family."
Even my Jasper wouldn't shop with me anymore.
"My friends and shopping partners my sisters Bella and Rose, now run away from me when I mention shopping. My father cut up all my credit cards, and hides cash in the house. I have stolen, cheated and lied just to have money to shop!"
Everyone nodded knowingly again.
"It is just so hard, even now, everything reminds me of shopping, I look around this group, and my thoughts are of shopping. Like Where did you get that top IT IS AWESOME!" I pointed at a woman in the group. She had this perfect top on! I needed that top!
"OH, and those shoes!" I pointed at another woman.
Pretty soon we were all discussing shoes, and blouses, and the sale at Macy's. I remembered I had a line of credit still there that I had not used in a long time........
"Let's go!" I shouted and everyone ran across the street to Macy's.
Five hours and four hundred thousand dollars later, I made it home. In shame........ In hindsight, a shopaholics anonymous meeting across from a mall was probably a bad choice for me..........
