DANCE [1/1]

Most nights are the same, but then so are days when you know you have forever. Nights spill in to days, days in to weeks and weeks in to months, until there comes a point in which you can't remember when life was in anyway different. And where and when it all began. But then sometimes something happens, something maybe not so new. But something does happen and when it does you sit up and pay attention. And dance.

The ferocious wind grew even more tempestuous as it angrily whipped the girl and threw her about it's territory like a bird torturing it's prey. Her soft weakened body crackled between it's fingertips as her cries went unheard over the roaring of the waves. Even the deep blue of the night sky didn't do anything to disguise the terrible event, as yet again another life was being taken away by the terrifying element known only as nature.

Drusilla listened to the very stars that hung and glistened in the deep blue night. Her head rocked along to the tune that they made as they sang of the girl's nearing death. A smile played along her lips as her whole body wracked with the glorious tune. Her arms extended, she moved them about like a crazed conductor would. Only knowing that there was one note after another, and each must be played.

Swinging about in circles that had no pattern to the casual observer, she stopped in parts, as part after part of the girl's body was broken by the cruel hands, and her innocence was stripped away along with her body.

Grand sweeping gestures, a flowing white dress trailing around her. The notes grew stronger and stronger as petal after petal was thrown to the ground by pale hands that breathed in their scent. White stains clung to the pale hands as they tried to follow the scent but didn't even have the option of succeeding.

All too soon the tune stopped and Drusilla's body grew still. She fell to the ground. Hitting the white lily petals as her ebony hair fanned around her head and swept the petals in to far corners of the room. Blinking hazel injected eyes that gazed at the ceiling in a childlike way, they let out the turmoil of emotions that tried to hide. Exhausted by the dance and yet as if revitalized she raised her head as if in a silent thanks to the stars before she turned.

Bleached blonde hair contrasted with the man's pale skin but yet it wasn't what captured your attention. Startling blue eyes that seemed to be part and yet all of the man's face stared back at you as they, like the wind stripped away the layers of your body.

"My stomach's all growly," she spoke. Destroying the silence of the room as it vibrated with the force of her words and echoed them back in to the night air that spilled in from the balcony.

"Come," he said, extending a hand from his position near the doorway.

Raising herself from the floor she moved silently over to him and let him take her small hand in his large. They exited the room but not before the tune mercilessly started again.
