Warning characters are going to be a little OOC at first, just because I have no gotten a good feel for the characters, along with I plan to keep them the same, but make them seem a little less Disney.
Prologue
Mal awoke from her slumber with searing pain not only from her shoulder blades, but also from her scalp hidden by the dyed plum hair. Drawing blanks for the reason, the young girl rolls from the warm blankets on her bed, careful not to awake Evie, and grabs the unusual colored lizard, causing her a rude awakening, and staggers from the dormroom trying not to gasp. With speed surprising both mother and daughter they find themselves out in the cool wind of the night. Collapsing at the side of the building the lizard leaps from her place on her daughters shoulder surrounded by green mist, only to reveal the form of an elegant she-fairy.
It seems like a mother always understands, as her hands, one finding each of the site of where the pain cause the intense features on Mal's face, instantly cooling the pain. Crouching down to the eye level of her daughter words start to form upon her lips as a figure turns around the corner in speaks in a panic voice, "oh my! Its Maleficent!" Before the blue suited fairy could call for help the hand of the older women waved towards the one intruding on her conversation and easily causing the women to fall asleep, not even caring enough to catch her from meeting the ground.
Without glancing away from the young girl all this time, a gentle voice, with a tent of humor, "which Maleficent?" Reaching to comb hair to the side of the form in front of her, as her tone changed to a serious tone, "Mal, you must not waste anymore time. You have to find the place where is hidden. It's only a matter of days till everyone will start seeing your horns and wings come in." With the women's eyes starting to be clouded in anger her tone turn to match her eyes, "humans will take who you are away from you, or you will turn up with that useless fairy over their and give who you are to live among filth."
It had been their plan all along.
Everyone had fallen for their charade, even Mal's friends which did cause her heart to be flooded with guilt. She had plan to tell them, but there was never a time to bring up what the two fairies had plan. Along with Mal not wanting to upset the three by the news, because they had been exhilarated with the outcome already. They have their happy ending. Not Mal. She carried so much guilt it almost consume her, and her mother did everything to help her with it. Though Mal knew why her mother could not afford for their plan not to work. Their were people counting on Maleficent to come back to them. She was their queen in a way.
The young girl took a moment to herself to think about what her mother just told her, and she is excited about her new features. Horns to strong that she command loyalty, and wings so big that she could fly anywhere she pleased to. She could even find where the new promise land for mystical creatures is at. It is a plus to have features of a strong fairy like her mother. With this thought process in her mind a smirk comes across her features, but quickly fates when the current situation is brought back to her mind. "Mom, what happens if I don't? I do have a couple of places where it could be, thanks to Doug, but if it's not in any of those places…."
With a loving smile that no human has ever seen, Maleficent comforts her only child, "I have confidence in you darling." With her peace finished she stood up offering a hand to her daughter. "Now, let's hurry back before anyone notice you are missing." Pulling her daughter up, she did not release her hand, but instead uses a simple spell to turn her back into a lizard, and scrambles up Mal's arm onto her shoulder.
Sneaking back into her room is easy as pie, and that was mostly because they students are trusted therefore no one patrols the grounds at night. Luckily Evie is still sound asleep when Mal returns. She gently returns her mother into the terrarium like she was never back in a humanoid form, and slides back into bed without any pain coming back. Hopefully the growing pains of her fairy features don't last too long.
A/N: Hey everyone! Yes I know this was short but I want to make each chapter one day. Now I can say that other chapters will be longer, but I cannot tell you how long they will be. Probably won't update every week, but I will update when I can.
