Light

My favourite light that's lived for me

Has shone brightly, forever be

She's shone upon my face since birth

Her glowing warmth around my girth

Tonight when I saw my birthing light

She told me that, she was not quite right

As soon as her words did come to me

I noticed her light shone differently

She shone as always she had shone

Her warmth to me had not quite gone

But her words that she bestowed on me

Were all too plain for me to see

Her light had darkened just a jot

For me her light, I could liveth, without, not

She told me her light would never wane

As steel my soul, she formed for me, became

She said together we will always be

She'd shone her light, her light for me

For shining her light from deep within

Her light for me my life begins

She told me, worry not for my light

My light will continue, to shine so bright

It's within you now to shine for me

Forever time, forever be

So take my light and make it your own

Serve it well but not alone

Share my light with all you love

Use it well as if heavens above

I looked upon the light that shone

And saw just how my life had gone

A tethered soul by light from her

From babe to child, to man to Sir

So her light may shine for a purpose sake

Her light doth shine for me to make

To take her light and feed it so

To weave her light and make it glow

This light may pass from her to me

Her light will shine so endlessly

For me to take this light shone so

To pass it on and make it grow.

So I'm frightened not to take this light

To keep it safe from darkness and from night

Her light is mine to wax and wane

To make her light from whence it came.
