**Disclaimer: Inuyasha isn't mine, so don't even ask.

Freedom

My heart
The weight has finally been lifted

I remember the days
Fifty long years ago
When I had to guard my heart so carefully
To not allow it to feel anything for anyone
I had to keep myself pure to keep the Sacred Jewel pure
And I died by Naraku's hand

My heart
The weight is finally lifted

The Jewel is no longer mine to keep
And now my heart is free
Free to hate
Free to love

**A/N: How did you like my first attempt on anything related to Inuyasha? I
hope it wasn't too confusing. If you didn't guess, it's from kikyo's POV.
The last two lines were taken from an episode called "Kikyo, captured by
Naraku" (I think) and were the inspiration of the poem. Kikyo, even though
she isn't exactly on the good side (but not exactly on the evil side
either) is a very interesting character and she still puzzles me. I hope
this poem was true to her character, because I haven't been watching this
show for very long. I hope she stayed in character and that the poem
wasn't way off base. Arigatou for reading!
