Title: the Key to Any Relationship
Pairing: Laurel/Oliver
Spoilers/Warnings: 1x21
Author Note: Based off the conversation Oliver and Laurel had in 1x21. To the point, I believe if he does get a second chance with her. He should tell Laurel at the beginning that he is Arrow. Otherwise I believe he would be a hypocrite.
Disclaimer: I don't own Arrow.
Summary: He knows the key to any relationship is truth and honesty. He knows that is the reason why their relationship failed in the past.

He isn't a fool.

He knows the key to any relationship is an open and honest one. He knows that is the main reason why their relationship failed in the past because he wasn't honest with her.

He was afraid of commitment.

He was afraid of moving in with her, afraid that someday she would have wanted something more - marriage, kids.

Instead of talking to her, he decided to cheat on Laurel with her younger sister, which eventually caused Sarah's death.

But when he was on the island, he made a promise to himself if he ever gets a second chance with Laurel.

He wouldn't be the coward he was before.

He would tell Laurel everything. His feelings for her, and how he is still in love with her. Him being "the Hood", his reasons for cheating on her with Sarah, and how he was afraid of committing to her in the past.

Because he knows if she does get a chance with her. He isn't going to screw it up like he did in the past.

Because the key to any relationship is an honest one.
