She stood, silently starring at the cool metallic Waiting Room door. So many times she has entered the room, hoping to find her husband, and so many times she had been disappointed, every time a little more hope died that Sam would ever return home. But this time was different, Donna knew the man she sought was just beyond the door, yet something still held her back. Ziggy had announced to her that her husband was home, and she could her the commotion inside, but it seemed to good to be true. The foot steps that approached her were quick and soft, and Donna could tell it was Al even before he stopped next to her dressed in a mulit-colored robe and slippers. She turned to him, and the same fears and hopes that she felt we mirrored in his deep brown eyes. She swallowed hard and spoke in a weak voice, "Is.....is this a joke Al? Is he really home?" Reaching out and taking her hand in his and replied, his voice horse with emotion, "He's home Donna, he came back to you just like you said." He wiped away the tear he slid down her face and punching in the pass code to the waiting room door. It seemed to take forever, but slowly the door rose, and the cheers from the inside died down as the two entered hand in hand. The room was filled with project staff members, all of them forming a large circle around the leaper, but upon seeing Admiral Calavicci and Donna they instantly cleared a path to the center. Donna led the way, still gripping Al's hand, but when her eyes met Sam's she broke into a run and flung her arms around her husband's neck. The crowd broke into a cheer. Shouts of joy coming from the staff and clapping filled the room, but Donna heard none of it. All she could hear was Sam's soft whisper in, "I love you Donna."
