Summary: Hinata and Naruto did not expect this at all…

Ps; This story is AU, I guess… It's about their future, but not really, more like what would happen if Sasuke returned to Konoha with team Hebi (Hawk) and Itachi being still alive. Also Sasuke still killed Danzo and the elders. But still almost killed Sakura and Karin. In addition I'm just bullshitting with the Village/Place names; I am not an anime encyclopedia, nor have I looked one up lol I'm lazy.

Coming Down

"Naruto, its time to go, so you know come on!" Naruto had just finish packing and jumped out the window, unlike a normal person that would just use a door. Then again he wasn't all that normal, he was shinobi. He saw Karin look down at him as she jumped higher over the rooftops while she spoke and sped up.

"Karin hold on, where are we going?!" Naruto slowed down and he caught his breath, then flashed over to where she was and matched his cousin's speed evenly.

"Hokage's office, Hinata told me to come get you. You locked all of the doors and windows right." She didn't even look surprised as she saw that he had caught up to her in such a short amount of time. She just handed him an old scroll and told him to open it later.

So he landed on a random rooftop, summoned a frog and told it to keep the scroll safely sealed away for him until he summoned it back. When the frog vanished he caught back up with Karin and said. "Hell's yeah, Finally a mission! I was starting to get bored off my ass here! Yeah its all good, but c'mon who would be stupid enough to try and steal from us?"

"I know what you mean, but lets go the sooner we get there the sooner we are done. And I don't know, but you can never be to sure." Karin stopped running and just waked over the edge of the roof of an old building. Naruto smirked as he saw her land gracefully on the ground and he followed her example, he wouldn't be outdone by her that easily.

Before he fell, he added chakra to his feet so that he could steady himself as he landed on the ground. When he moved the earth beneath his feet cracked and Naruto smiled sheepishly as everyone around them felt the aftershock of his power.

The villagers quickly ignored them and went back to what they had been doing before, when both of the shinobi laughed.

Naruto asked. "So who's going with us on this, did you ask Hinata?"

Karin shook her head she kept walking, then she said. "No, I was heading home with groceries when I bumped into her. She just told me to get you and to meet her at the Hokage's office. Right now, Sakura and Ino are at the hospital. It is their shift, so they're out."

Naruto kept walking, silently wondering who would be the lucky person to go on a mission with not just one Uzumaki but two.

Karin kept talking but he was half-listening, half wanting her to shut up so that he could think in peace. With the aid of blissfully boring silence- it was really a hard process at times for him, to actually keep quiet. Though, he gave her his undivided attention when he heard the next sentence.

"Lee and Neji went on a mission days ago to the Tea country, they were escorting Sabaku no Gaara."

"What, why is Gaara with them? He's the Kazekage, shouldn't some lower ranked be going anywhere-anyways? Why, are our ninja helping the Suna?" Naruto's voice was full of excitement and curiosity as he spoke.

"I don't know it's classified even to most Anbu, but I think it's something to do with politics. What I do know, is that Tsunade is going to travel with two shinobi from the Lightning country. I was informed that all the Kage would meet again, maybe that's their 'secrete location' and that they would each be escorted by randomly selected ninja. Apparently, neither rank nor power mattered in the selection. But that's what I deduced, from the selected few that were chosen." Karin spoke quietly and quickly in-order for them to not attract anyone's attention.

Naruto didn't pick up on her demeanor, yet he didn't elaborate with words other than. "Damn. It must important, I want in!"

"Can't do, Itachi's ANBU Capitan, and he said if I 'had' to inform you, I would personally make sure you would not to meddle. Do not pry cousin. If you do, if you so much as try- Sakura, Tenten, and I will kick your ass! And yes, I am threatening you Naruto."

"Oh okay, b- but Hinata will defend me!" Naruto smiled brightly as he thought of her, but his smile gradually diminished as he thought of leaving her for a few day's in-order for him to go on the mission.

"No. I made her swear to me and Itachi that if you meddled, she would help us."

He almost tripped on air when he heard what she said. But instead of being angry he sounded and acted overly dramatic as he said the next words. And as he totally flailed around really hard, he looked just like a dying fish out of water. "Wait, you did what? Why! My Hinata, I cant all these fee..."

Karin stopped in her tracks before he could finish his ranting. She looked him dead in the eyes as she spoke, with her voice laden with wisdom and experience.

"Because baka, if you're going to lead anyone..." She let her voice die and changed her tactic. "Look, Naruto you will be a Kage soon. You have to learn to trust your nakama."

Naruto didn't break eye contact with her as he spoke, his voice sounded both juvenile yet mature. And his gaze matched hers on par. "I trust you all, it's just that I want in. That's all!"

She nodded slightly at his words but said. "Sorry, but no can do. Maybe you'll get lucky and the mission we're getting wont suck."

He smirked and put his hands behind his head as he walked, they weren't far away from their destination so they would just walk at a leisurely pace.

"As I was saying; Sai, Kiba, Akamaru, and Shino went to the Hidden Rice Village, Itachi said something about 'Chocolate pandas'. He even took the time to do the air quote signs. I wonder what all this mystery's about. Then again they aren't Anbu so it mustn't be that important, maybe it's something B-class? Unless, that's exactly what he wants me to think then maybe I-"

Naruto raised an eyebrow at Karin as he repeated the words, "Karin shut up, your over thinking this. I know you're usually right but just stop, right now please." for the hundredth time. But then he said. "Hey, I want some candy now. Oh maybe we'll see chocolate pandas on the mission, they do exist right Karin?"

She stared at him with an incredulous look on her face as she said. "Seriously, that all you got from this. Whatever, I don't know maybe it was code or something. And like as in chocolates yes, real life animal- no, sorry."

"Oh... Anyways, they can take care of themselves, unless someone passes gas that is." Karin just sighed and readjusted her glasses as he laughed at his own joke and memories.

"Choji, I think that he left to visit Shikamaru and Temari, now that they are married and live in Suna."

Naruto didn't want to stay out of the loop so he said. "I heard that Tenten will be off soon with Shizune, for her medical training."

She nodded and said. "Oh yeah, Hinata told me. Supposedly, they would be off to the hospital after our briefing."

He let his arms fall to his sides as he asked. "What about your team? Do you hang out anymore?"

She shook her head and spoke. "No not as much as we'd like to. We broke up; Juugo, Suigetsu, and I are now Anbu so we all work under Itachi. But he keeps us busy, so that we don't get bored or argue much anymore. Hell we barley even see each other, let alone actually speak or chill."

"So... do you see Sasuke much?" He noticed her rigid frame but he kept any comments on what he thought about that to himself.

Karin tensed a little but shook it off and kept walking. "Y-yes I see him... Itachi has this thing for always pairing us up together when I'm not with him of course. I have to follow his orders, he is my buntaichō after all."

Awkward silence ensued for two minutes while they hurried. But the good thing was that they had already entered the tower, Naruto let the door shut behind him and walked up the stairs with her. "Hey your birthday's tomorrow, it's June 20th Nee-chan. You turn 21 right?"

"Hai, arigato otouto for remembering. But we probably wont be done with the mission by then, so a party wont be happening. Oh well, I'm used to it." She gave him an empty smile and kept walking up the stairs.

But he stopped her from moving further when he grabbed her hand and squeezed it gently. Then he said. "No problem, hey maybe on our way there. Wherever we are going, maybe we can find a nice restaurant or something like that. Oh and I'll buy you a cake and ramen, what do you say?" He looked at her, quietly waiting for a response.

She smiled genuinely and said, "Sounds like a plan." happily then she knocked on the door and waited for the Hokage to speak.

Ps: I updated the story-chapters because the mistakes were bothering me. Anyways, thank you for reading/reviewing and things of the like.

Oh and 'buntaichō' means squad leader.
