The sound of the ticking clock, the scratch of my pen, and the soft snores of Grantaire kept me company as I wrote. I glanced over at the clock and too my astonishment, it was three in the morning. My paper on the French Revolution was still far from complete. I looked at the paper and a yawn escaped out from between my lips.
"You should rest" the familiar voice of Grantaire sounded softly behind me. I leaned back in my chair. I kept my back to him. "Soon enough my love... Soon enough" I quietly breathed. I heard him shift and move around getting out of bed and waking to me. He wrapped his arms around my shoulders and leaned his head softly on my blond curls. "Come my love. Come back to bed and rest." He whispered into my curls. His soft soothing voice surrounding me as my eyelids got heavier. I nodded and stood up moving his arms so they rested around my waist and I was facing him.
He lead me gently to the bed and laid down beside me. Pulling the covers up over our bodies and pulling me into his strong arms. "You're too focused on college, Apollo. I worry about your health" he said softly. Concern filling his voice. I kissed him softly and he returned the kiss. I pulled away and rested my head in the crook of his neck. "Don't worry about me love. I'm fine" he gave my head one last kiss before nodding and closing his eyes. I smiled and fell asleep in the arms of my love
