Author's note: This is a story based off of the amazing book A Seperate Peace. And this is what I think should've happened. I mean, I believe everyone could sense that bromance between them. And if you haven't read A Sepearate Peace yet...Go. Do it. Now.
Warning: I will be rating this story T/M. I'll admit, it mostly has profanity, but it does have scene where...Well basically shit goes down.
Summary: Gene has done it-he has succesfully taken away Finny's ability to play sports and has made them even. But as time goes on and Finny returns to the Devon school, Gene begins to drown in both guilt and another feeling that he does not want to believe in. As a very nosy Breaker makes the truth surface, will Gene and Finny's relastionship ever be the same? Or will something snap between them and cause something that both the boys never saw coming?
Prologue
So that's his game? To distract me from my work and cause me to fail at my academics? It's the only thing I'm good at compared to him and he's trying to take that away.
Well that's pretty low. I never would've guessed that Phineas, my roommate-my best friend, was making me sink deeper into his shadow. And how could I? With his contagious behavior, his sly ways, his hypnotic green eyes, and his radiant smile and aura…The perfect cover up!
To think, my enemy wasn't in Europe. My enemy wasn't this god-forsaken war. My enemy was by my side this whole time. He was posing as my best friend.
