This was written for Enovie's Twilight Challenge. It is from Rosalie's point of view as she observes Emmett one night. Please enjoy; it is exactly 150 words.

OATH: I do not own Peter Pan or Twilight.

I saw him reading Peter Pan. I was struck by the childlike sparkle in his eyes as his rough hands stroked the yellowed pages. His legs were splayed over the end of the couch comically.

I stifled my laughter by concentrating on the chocolate colored curls that I so loved. One was perfectly spiral, falling just above his right eyebrow.

For the umpteenth time since I'd saved him, I wondered why I had risked everything to save the man who sat reading by the crackling fire.

He was simple when I'd first seen him. There was nothing unusual about his hair, build and smile. His blood had been an appetizing crimson. Why hadn't I put him out of his misery?

No matter how many times I asked myself that question, I always knew the answer: I may not have a child, but my husband was childlike enough to suffice.
