Jane was on a mission today. She was going to 'woo' a certain blonde drunk. Jane still could not believe she fell for her best friend. The idea would have seemed so insane to her a few weeks ago. Roxy had been with Jane through so much, especially when Jake was being a narcisistic bastard. They had gotten through SBURB together, and Roxy was the one who had beat the shit out of Jane when the stupid crown had taken over. It was to save her Jane was assured. Jane hadn't been aware of her feelings until last week.
~*Flashback*~
Dirk was throwing a party in the penthouse his Bro owned. Jane knew it was just an excuse for people to get drunk. She only went to ensure that Roxy wouldn't get alcohol poisoning, and possibly to talk with Jake. Jane really wanted to give him a piece of her mind for a while now. He had been ignoring all of their friends far too often. So here she was, surrounded in drunk teens failing to keep cool. Jane found Jake making out with Dirk in the bedroom, so she decided to see how Roxy was doing. Jane found said teen sitting in a bathtub holding an almost empty bottle of vodka; she was giggling like a mad woman.
"Roxy dear, are you holding out okay?" Jane tried to pry the bottle from Roxy's cold hands, but Roxy's grip was inhumanly strong.
Roxy's giggles died down a little as she tried to talk with Jane. "Jaey Jany Janey. I gots sumthin ta show ya, you'll laugh so hard n'piss yurself. Lok look." Roxy placed the bottle on her forehead and smirked. "I'm a vodkacorn." She then burst into another fit of giggles. Jane giggled at her silly friend.
"Oh Roxy, what am I going to do with you?" Jane sighed. Roxy muttered something. "What was that Roxy?" Roxy motioned for Jane to come closer. Jane leaned down and Roxy leaned into Jane's ear.
"Love me as much as I love you Janey." Roxy gently kissed Jane's cheek. Roxy giggled softly and passed out with her head in her arms on the edge of the tub. Jane was left standing there starring at Roxy. Jane had to sit before she fainted. It was all so surprising and unexpected.
"She wasn't lying you know. She's been in love with you for the longest time." Dirk said standing in the doorway. Jane jumped at his voice, but didn't look at him. "I talked with her about it but she didn't want to tell you. She was afraid she'd frighten you off. You were also into Jake at that time. Guess the cat is out of the bag now."
Jane nodded slowly as she watched her best friend sleep. "I-I simply just don't know how to feel about this. How I should go about this new discovery. I didn't even expect it and yet," Jane sighed. I think I liked it. "What should I do Dirk?"
A warm hand rested on her shoulder. "Just take some alone time and try to figure out your feelings. Just don't ignore us if we talk to you like Jake did." Jane and Dirk laugh while an agitated groan comes from the door.
"I told all of you sorry for that. I wasn't used to having friends so I didn't know I was being rude. Anyway what's going on in here?" Jake walked in the room and sat on the edge of the tub near Roxy.
"Roxy drunkenly admitted her feeling for Jane here and it caught her a little too off guard." Dirk patted Jane's shoulder.
"Golly, I never thought Roxy would actually do it. I stand corrected or sit rather." Jake chuckled at his bad joke.
~*End flashback*~
It had been a week since the party, and Jane had come to the conclusion that she did love Roxy. Jane wanted to answer Roxy's feelings by showing her love through craft; she would be baking cupcakes with pink frosting. Janey set out to work.
As the cupcakes were cooled and frosted Jane invited Roxy over to "hang out". Roxy was there in less than five minutes. "Roxy how on earth did you get here so fast?"
Roxy smirked, "I was just in the neighborhood. You called me at the right time." Roxy waved a new horror film in her hands. "I also wanted to see if you wanted to watch this with me."
Jane took the movie from Roxy, "Of course I want to. I'll just set it up." The movie was more frightening than Jane had anticipated. She clung onto Roxy, with Roxy smiling happily at the contact. The movie ended late in the evening. Roxy turned to Jane, "Janey I wanted to talk to you about what happened at Dirk's party. You see-"
Jane put her hand over Roxy's mouth. "Hold that thought, I need to give you something." Jane nervously went to the kitchen. She returned with the cupcakes, and she placed them in front of Roxy on the coffee table. Lalonde starred in shock at the sorted pink cupcakes. Light blue words topped the icing, spelling out "I love you too~" "I just thought you should know. I never gave you my answer back then."
Roxy starred at the blushing cutie. Jane had looked at the ceiling after her embarrassing confession. "Janey look at me." Jane slowly turned her head. Roxy took the oppurtunity to place her hands on Jane's red cheeks pulling their lips together. Jane sat still for a moment until realization hit her. She placed her hand on Roxy's neck, leaning into the kiss. Roxy licked Jane's lower lip. Jane let the tounge slip inside to tangle with her's. The need for air got in the way and the two seperated slightly, resting their forehead together panting. Roxy giggled "Janey you taste sweeter than cupcakes."
Jane smiled, "So do you Roxy." Jane had a sudden Idea. "Wanna go to my room and makeout some more?" Both girls burst out laughing.
Roxy smiled, "I'd thought you'd never ask Janey."
*Later*
Mr. Crocker came home late from work. Everyone in the company was working overtime. He caught sight of the cupcakes on the coffee table. The strange message caught his eye. He looked into Jane's bedroom to find the girls fast asleep on the bed. He smiled to them. "I'm proud of you Jane. It's about time too." He chuckled to himself, looks like he won the bet. He'd tell Rose to cough up the money in the morning.
