Short little drabble based on the 'True Colors' challenge at the HPFC. Hope everyone likes. I don't own this.

Indigo. That was her favorite color. Indigo. If someone had asked her why, she would smile and say, "Oh, I don't know, I just like it." or "I saw the Princess Bride to many times as a child." (It had taken Aunt Hermione three years too make Lily realize that it wasn't Indigo Montoya.) But the real reason indigo was her favorite color was because of Scor and the first flower he had given her. A beautiful flower, a deep purple-blue orchid.

She had been fifteen at the time and while she blocked out most of her fifteenth year, that memory shone out. The bashful Scor had rubbed his neck, like he always did when he was embarrassed and unsure, and the action he was about to do was totally sweet. His sweet smile and his honey blonde locks falling in front of his gray, gray eyes. The way he had told her that he picked this flower because he had finally found something that matched the color of her eyes, but could never outshine them. Brushing back her long, curly brown hair out of the way before leaning in for their first kiss. That was why indigo was her favorite color.

And now, ten years later, watching Scor, her husband now, playing with little seven year old Lynx and three year old Harry and the five month old twins Cedric and Matilda; twisting her wedding ring around her finger, a beautiful sliver and azurite wedding ring, she realized another reason indigo was her favorite color.

Because it was Scor's.
