Harry sat in the Gryffindor commonroom with a box of letters laying in his lap. As he read over the first few letters in the box, he began to weep. He remembered all of the times that he and Hermione had spent together down by the lake. He remembered the day he told her he loved her. Then, like a blinding light rushing at him, he remembered the day that he and Hermione had split up.

It had been a beautiful night, one with shining stars and moonlit waters. Hermione and Harry were down by the lake (one of their favorite spots which Harry couldn't bring himself to go visit after the breakup) all comfy and cozy when Harry had begin to talk bad about Draco Malfoy. Hermione had defended Draco and Harry got upset. They began to fight and Harry mentioned something about how Hermione should start seeing Draco instead of him. Hermione stormed off, as the words, "It's over," hung over Harry's head like a dark rain cloud.

Harry turned around in his chair as he heard laughter coming from the hallway. He dried his tears and walked over to the door cautiously. He peeked out into the hallway to see Draco and Hermione walk down the hall, laughing, joking with one another. Harry was crushed. As he sank back to his chair, he couldn't help but to think that he had made a BIG mistake.

Harry looked at the clock; 11:30pm. He decided to go take a walk outside. The fresh air would do him some good. He took his box of letters outside with him and began toward the lake. If he was going to be depressed, that was the spot to go. As he walked down to the sparkling water, something caught his eye. There were two people sitting in he and Hermione's old spot, one male, one female. Hermione. With Draco. Harry turned away as Draco kissed her, both of their features amplified in the shadows of the moonlight.
