Dance Between Two
A/N:Based off Spoilers for the 808 episode Lost in Love. Twoshot
Claire Edwards had come to Degrassi for one simple reason. To learn. And that was what she had intended to do. But then she actually got to Degrassi and had met KC. Smart,funny,athletic,sarcastic and real. And in the gifted program. She really didn't understand what was wrong with her. He brought out a different side to her. On the very first week of school,KC had challenged her to prove that she really didn't care what other people thought of her. She guessed Darcy had been right when she said a guy could make you do crazy things.
This however,was something she had never expected to happen to her. KC AND Connor,another friend of her's had both asked her to the upcoming dance and she was at loss of who to go with,much less what to say or think. She wasn't the kind of girl that got asked to dances! That suited Darcy and Alli so much better! If she said yes to one,especially KC who she really,REALLY liked she risked hurting the other guy. What if her friendship was ruined with the two of them? She groaned and hit her head against the headboard of her bed lightly. Things had been so much simpler in private school. Claire wished her sister were here to talk to about all this. Darcy would've known exactly what to say to help.

The next day,Claire walked nervously into Media Immersion and took a seat beside Alli,across from KC and Connor.
Alli raised a perfectly trimmed eyebrow and placed a gentle hand on her friend's bare arm. "Claire,your shaking!" She breathed with concern,gazing upon her friend worriedly.
Claire squeezed her blue eyes shut with a soft moan. She could feel KC's and Connor's eyes upon her form. She wished their attention hadn't been drawn to her. She was sure that at any moment they would ask if she had decided that she was going to the dance. She knew that neither boy had a clue that the other had asked her.
Sure enough,KC asked in a hopeful voice,"So Claire,did you decide whether or not to go to the dance with me?"
She heard Alli gasp and swallow a small giggle beside her. She opened her eyes and looked at KC,seeing him smiling. She then turned her attention to Connor. She could see the shock and betrayal written all over his face,his jaw was clenched and his eyes burnt hot like fire.
"Hey! I asked Claire to the dance! She's going with me,aren't you Claire?" He asked,looking at her with wide,innocent dark eyes.
KC was watching her carefully now,not saying a single word.
With a cry of despair,Claire stormed out of the classroom quickly and into the restroom.
She rested he hands on the cool,white marble of the sink and breathed slowly in and out. Shew would just go to the dance alone. That is all there was to it. She didn't want to hurt either of them and this was the only way to stop that from happening..
