Paradise

Beyond the rivers and the sand
A journey is finally at it's end
The path was hard,
The friends were true
Now it's just me and you.

You hated me at first but....
After all this time...
No one dare say you are not mine...
---
Look around,
Here we are,
A place we thought for sure we'd never see,
I just wish the others were here with me...
---
I shouldn't be here that I know,
While the others sill search to and fro,
But here we are,
It's the end,
Of a journey I started with just a friend...
---
I can't believe this is real,
I can't believe I'm not alone,
I shouldn't be here,
I've betrayed them all...
---
She says I never betrayed them ,
That I was loyal to the end,
But it still feels like I did...
I'm in paradise while they're still in hell...
I'm here with all the flowers,
And she is here as well.
---
But where are they?
And the others?
I thought they'd be here waiting...
Everyone is going...
Slowly...
One by one...
I thought that when I went too...
They'd all be here...
Waiting...

What if this isn't it?
Is this just another fake paradise?
Are they all there?
At Paradise?
Have they forgotten about me?

But she didn't...
No, I don't think she ever will...
She's still here with me...
Left in each other's arms...
Came here in each other's arms...

What's that?
She hears something,
Just over that hill!
Is it the others?
Are we in the true Paradise?
I can hear him!
I thought surely I'd never hear that voice again!

What's he shouting?
The others are here too!
And the old man and the couple too!
Do you hear him?
Do you Blue?
It's not just me and you!

We reach the top and there they are,
The runt with the old man he died for...
The couple who didn't believe in a future until it was too late...
Two other wolves too...
They're both running to the runt...
The flower maiden is too...

We watch them reunite...
They're all so happy...
But then to my amaze...
What's that I hear?
---
Grim faces all around...
It breaks my heart to see them frown...
Where has their joy gone?
Crestfallen looks all around...
The runt looks around, a hopeful glint in his eye.

It hits me..
He's looking for us...
C'mon Blue, I say,
Taking her hand.
---
This is it...
We're all done...
We've reached Paradise...
---
Our leader's head turns around,
No longer is there a trace of a frown.
We rush to me them,
And them to us,
And in that moment we all knew...
---
This is it...
We're all done...
