One morning Lorelai comes down into the diner in her pajama's at 5:30 in the morning and is still half asleep and sit;s at the counter with her head on her arm's.
''what the hell you doing awake it's 5:30 in the morning.'' Luke tell's her
''I know but I just couldn't sleep without you by my side I need coffee and I miss Rory.'' she tell's him
''well it's not ready yet and I know you do.'' he tell's her
''ugh.''h Lorelai groan's.
''listen why don't you go back upstair's and try and go back to bed and I will bring you your coffee when it is ready.'' he tell's her
''mmm No cant go back to sleep and sleep any longer.'' she tell's him
Luke makes some coffee for her and turn's the grill's on and make's her some pancakes.
''here just try and eat something.'' he pushes them toward's her
''thank's hun.'' she says and pour's some syrup over them and wait's for Luke to give her her coffee.
''your welcome coffee?'' he asks her and know's its an automatic yes and pour's her some and gives it to her.
Lorelai takes a sip ''mmmm still good.'' she says
Luke just put's his hand on her wrist gently to comfort her then get's back to work around the diner and wait's for his customer's to arrive.
