Prologue

It was a sunny day, as it usually was at Tokyo University. The afternoon classes had just let out, as college students bustled around. But one girl in particular was acting a bit crazy...
"So Yomi, where are we going tonight?" Tomo asked Yomi. "I picked yesterday, so today is your turn!"
"I'm still not even over that Karaoke Bar last night.." Yomi answered, quietly pushing up her glasses. They had been up so late the night before, that they had both slept through class.
"Oh come on, lighten up! That was so fun!" Tomo laughed. It was their first year in college but they were still slacking off. They weren't quite over splitting up with everyone else yet.
"You know who would have loved that.." Yomi said sadly. "Kagura, she's so crazy." They were both silent for a moment. They had been living together in an apartment, but they hadn't heard from anyone else in awhile. Chiyo-Chan was in America, they had gotten a post card from her awhile back. The rest of the gang was scattered at various universities across Japan. It was times like these when they missed their high school days and sadly, even their perverted principal.
"Well, uh, I was thinking we could just study..." Yomi said, breaking the silence. "I have a big test tomorrow."
Tomo looked sad for a moment, but perked up. "Alright, we can party again tomorrow." she said with a smile. They crossed the street at a cross walk and headed towards their apartment building.
