Kakashi sighed as he put away his Icha Icha book. He took a good look around. There was hardly anyone out which was odd since it was Friday.

He was depressed because it was his birthday today and no-one had noticed. But to and insult to injury his former students had completely avoided him. None of his jounin friends were around and Iruka was busy today. He sighed again thinking no-one cared. Not even Anko who he was currently going out with.

As he was thinking about this the now jounin Naruto ran up to him.

"hey sensei! I wanted to know if you want to go to the bar with me to get a drink or two." he said looking at his 'sensei'. even though they were all jounin his former students still called him sensei.

"sure. I don't see why not." he smiled since someone other than Gai talked to him.

"cool come on." so as they walked to bar Naruto kept talking nonstop. Kakashi who was already used to it just nodded at the appropriate times. When they finally reached the bar Naruto shut up and motioned for him to open the door.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAKASHI/SENSEI!" almost everyone yelled at the same time causing him to almost have a heart attack.

He scanned the room with his eyes smiling under his mask.

"come on! Order up another round of sake!" yelled an already drunk Tsunade. "I second that!" yelled an also drunk Anko.

When he heard the unmistakable voice of his girlfriend he walked over to greet her.

"yo. So this is why you haven't talked to me today." he said putting an arm around her shoulder.

"yep!" she smiled.

"so did Sakura put this together?" he asked her.

"surprisingly no. I didn't." Sakura said walking up to him, holding Sasuke's hand. He smiled at the couple.

"yep! It wasn't us for once!" yelled Naruto also walking up to them with Hinata beside him.

"really then who was it?" Kakashi asked.

"me! Yep! I spent forever getting things together just for you! So be happy cause I got migraine dealing with Naruto!" Anko said smiling. "well I am happy." he said smiling secretly at her.

After all the people had gotten drunk and called a cab to take them home the only ones left were Anko and Kakashi.

They were almost at her apartment. When they reached her door she turned and pulled down his mask to reveal his charming smile.

She smiled in return and stood on her toes to give him a kiss good night. When she was done he smiled and left his mask down.

"you know you never gave me a present." he said slyly.

"well it was the party." she said.

"well that was nice but I wanted to do something with you in private." as he said that he scooped her up and held her bridal style. She was so startled she lifted her arms around his neck to keep from falling.

He smirked as he carried her to her bedroom.

"well happy birthday then."
