Hey. I had an Idea of this pairing long before SOFN but couldn't think of what to write. Now I'm going to try. Huzzahs all around!
Chapter 1:
Toph walked along the edge of great wall of Ba Sing Sae, humming to her self and holding her arms out for balance.
"Wha'cha singin'?" Sokka asked as he walked along side at her pace. Toph screamed and toppled over the side of the wall. In the knick of time she created a landing out of the wall just under her. At the same time she felt a hand wrap around her wrist. Sokka's hand, to be more precise. His palm was rough and callused from wear and tear. She was standing on her platform with her arm suspended by his grip. She glared up at him.
"I can save myself, Snoozles!" She growled, and he immediately let go.
"Sorry for trying to save you life." Sokka said, turning his back. And crossing his arms as though she had hurt his feelings. She threw her hands in the air with effortless force, and the platform under her shot up to the landing where she jumped off.
"Quit pouting, Ponytail, it causes wrinkles." She said as she jumped back up onto the ledge and continued on her original path, leaving an angry yet confused Sokka trying to smooth the imaginary wrinkles out of his face.
"Hey Sokka, have you seen Toph anywhere? Some Earth benders are looking for her." Aang said, with a worried look in his face.
"Yeah." Sokka said angrily. "She want that way." He said, gruffly pointing to his right.
"Um…Thanks." Aang answered, and took off on his glider.
