I own nothing to do with Ed Edd and Eddy, all credit goes to the mind of Danni Antonucci.
Double D awoke in his bed, with an unexplainable, dark feeling, like he should be deeply concerned about something. I know this feeling, I get it myself when I wake up every morning, like something bad is going to happen. He thought for a second, and nothing was out of the ordinary. You know, when maybe you have a bad dream and it feels so real, or wake up with this same unexplainable feeling, you look back on the previous night to see if anything happened that you may have forgotten in your sleep. Nothing out of the ordinary, thought Double D, so he shook it off and jumped in the shower. He still had that vaguely eerie feeling though. He got out of the shower, got dressed and went downstairs to fix himself breakfast, as he usually does since his parents are already off to work in the wee hours of the morning. He ate a bowl of cereal while watching television. He watched the last of the news, and then watched CN. He put his empty bowl and spoon in the sink and gathered his school things. This was a regular morning routine, without that strange feeling. He walked out of the door and started walking to school. The sky was completely grey and cloudy, not a crack of sunlight in the sky above. It was also very quiet. Usually he would see other kids walking to school and Ed and Eddy would have come and knocked on his door, but nobody was out. He decided to take advantage of the silence and walk to school peacefully; he figured he would see everyone at school. He turned the corner of the Cul-de-sac and started walking off to school. He had a strange feeling like he was still asleep, just having a weird dream and he would wake up any moment. He turned down an alley for a shortcut, and he was well down the alley when he thought he saw a shadowy figure walking behind him. He turned around, but there was nobody there. As he was turning around he saw a black car turn into the alley. It was coming up awfully quick, he thought. He stepped off to the side, but the car moved into his side. He walked to the other side, and the car was coming, and it pulled into the side he just walked to, he felt like somebodies hateful eyes burning into his cranium, and he got a sudden, impulsive thought that seemed to come from a voice in the back of his mind. Run!
He took off as fast as he could down the alley but the car was gaining on him, no doubt trying to run him over. Eddward kicked into full survival mode, and tipped over trash cans while he ran. No use, the car kept coming. The alley was too far for him to run away, and even now all this thinking was wasting time. The car came scorching, he felt those murderous eyes, whoever was driving that car meant to kill him, and was merely seconds away from flattening him. This is it, thought, but he snapped out of it, and hopped the climbed over the wooden fence. The adrenaline was giving him the ability to do whatever he had to survive. He landed on the ground, and he realized he was in the playground. He thought he lost the car, but he heard the sound of scorching tires, and saw the car come crashing through the fence. He got a glimpse of the interior, and he saw that there was….. Nobody in the car!
Eddward shot up and sat straight up in bed. He was sweating like crazy and his heart was pounding. The door was also pounding, and Eddy and Ed were calling his name. He looked at the clock, 9: 30 am. He had that feeling, but shook it off when he saw the time and realized how late he was. He ran out of bed. "Coming!" he called to the door. He got dressed with amazing speed, gathered his things and ran downstairs to get the door.
