Darkness. That's all I saw, and I could feel it. How did I get into this predicament? Well, it all starts with one word.
Betrayal.
My name is Percy Jackson, son of Sally Jackson. This is my story.
-Flashback to one week ago-
Olympus was the best place for a wedding. Especially when it was planned by the goddess of marriage and the lucky couple was one of the most interesting couples ever.
I had finally gotten Athena's blessing, and I proposed to Annabeth, and she said yes! Both Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter exploded when they heard. It was similar on Olympus, and the wedding was planned immediately.
But... on the day of the wedding, I stood there waiting for the bride to walk down the aisle. My father would be walking her down, since her mortal father was unable to come due to an accident.
"I'm going to look for Annabeth," I quickly said after an hour of waiting. I worried that she was somehow attacked by a monster. My suspicions were answered as I heard a scream coming from Poseidon's temple. But why there?
I ran towards the temple, my trusty sword Riptide in my hand. Yes, my tuxedo had pockets in case of an emergency. I burst through the doors, and heard the scream again. Annabeth's scream.
I ran upstairs into one of the bedrooms, and immediately what I saw, I knew I wouldn't be able to forget. The bride of the wedding, and the groom's father in bed, naked, and having sex.
"What...?" I whispered, but they heard. I dropped my sword.
"Percy! Thi- this isn't what it looks like!" Annabeth exclaimed and pulled up the sheets to cover her and Poseidon.
"It isn't what it looks like?!" I shouted, "It looks like you two are having sex!" The ground shook, and I knew I was the cause of it. The two who betrayed me looked scared, and they should be.
*3rd Person*
The gods and demigods that attended the wedding felt the ground shake. They all immediately either flashed or ran towards the center of it, only to find Percy on his knees and the naked god and demigoddess.
"Nephew," Zeus said, "What happened?" Percy looked up, and what they saw shocked them. His eyes, which were usually bright and full of life, now looked dull and cracked. "Those two," the demigod choked out and pointed to Poseidon and Annabeth. The Olympians immediately understood and ushered the demigods out, until Annabeth and Percy remained. The gods turned to look at Poseidon and Annabeth with disbelief. Percy just stayed on his knees, looking at the ground. Nobody knew what to say. Until, they heard the sound of a sword. The Olympians all turned and looked at Percy, who had Riptide in his hand. He stared at it, and then said one sentence.
"I, Perseus Jackson, hereby remove all ties with Poseidon, disowning myself, and return Anaklusmos to its original owner."
Then, someone screamed, "PERCY!" as he plunged the sword into his chest and collapsed.
