Disclaimer: I don't own Reba
"Mom," Cheyenne said, "Can I ask you a question."
"Sure honey," Reba said, "What's on your mind?"
"Do you love me as much as you love Kyra and Jake?"
Reba looked at her daughter confused.
"Of course I do," she said, "What kind of a question is that?"
"Well last week you said that you used to let me cry it out sometimes. You never did that to Jake and Kyra."
Reba motioned for Cheyenne to sit down. Cheyenne did.
"There are two reasons for that," she said, "First of all you're my first child. I was a first time mother and the doctor told us that it was absolutely needed. He said it was best for you in the long run. He said it would have horrible consequences if we didn't do that. I was a first time mother like I said and I wanted what was best for my baby. When Kyra was born you were 5 and you needed your sleep too. Letting Kyra cry it out would have affected you. You were going to school at the time and you needed to sleep to be healthy and enjoy your day. When Jake was born I had a 3 year old and an 8 year old and the same situation occurred. I love you every bit as much as I love Kyra and Jake. You're my first baby so in some ways I love you more because I loved you longest"
"Thanks mom," Cheyenne said, "I really needed to hear that."
"I know you did baby," Reba said hugging her.
