promise
A Promise
The broken trust
The dreams that left to rust
The hidden tears
The love that disappears
When I am gone will you remember me?
When we're left alone and people who we love are being demolished from the face of the earth by a person who you trusted and loved the most you're not sure if you can ever love or trust someone again. " I will never hurt you or leave you", this is the kind promise that should never be broken, especially if it's being promised to a little kid because a child would believe it with all of its heart, but it's being broken tonight.
"Why?"
Eight year old Sasuke was rushing back from school but he was too preoccupied to realise that it was far too quiet, deadly quiet for a usually busy Uchiha district, but he did not realise that soon enough. How could he pay any attention, he was too happy because his brother just came back from a mission. The only person who he can trust, the only person who understands him, the only person who would not hurt him until now...
"Until now"
And then Sasuke snapped out of his thought, silence hit him in the guts, he could feel in the pit of his stomach that there was something wrong "where is every one?" He raced to his house and ran upstairs franticly searching for his parents just like in his nightmares but only it was not a nightmare. He opened the door to his parents room , darkness covered him like a blanket, the sickeningly sweet smell of rust suffocated him. Smell of sweat, blood and death in the air mixed together making one powerful odour which was too much to bare. "Mum dad where are you?" and then his eyes adjusted to the dark he saw two lifeless bodies on floor, "Mum? Dad?..NO!" Through a stream of tears Sasuke Uchiha managed to choke out those words. This promise which he would not break "Who ever you are! Who ever did this I promise to kill you, I promise I ...."
"Foolish little Brother, promises like these you should never break, I will make you a promise in return, I will die from your hand and your hand only" Why?
Foolish little brother you shall keep your promise until we meet again. After you grow up and train, when you avenge the death of our clan only then shall I tell you what happened this night, just before I die"
Itachi sent his hand strait to his stomach and a harsh blow sent Sasuke flying to the wall.
"Why" Itachi?
Itachi Uchiha was out of the window in one leap leaving Sasuke scared, confused, and full of hate, but if he would have turned around he could have seen tears in Itachis eyes.
"Forgive me little brother" you live for love, when its gone I will teach how you to hate"
"Maybe when you grow up you will understand why I did what I did and you will forgive me, maybe, you will remember how to love one day but for now just hate me more than you ever loved me in your life "

"You may banish me from face of the earth for breaking this promise"
