Night of the Living Dead

Night of the Living Dead

In 1992 a British doctor had a great break through that he could cure leukemia. People all over the world had been treated with this vaccine. For three years all was well, then this took a bloody turn for the worse.

"Jim, come here," called Bob.

Jim came running over to Bob.

"Good boy!" Bob said.

It was June 19, Bob had been out at the pier where he had gone everyday for the past year. It was warm out as Bob opened the door to let them in. It had been a year and a half since the disease had taken a toll on people. If anyone was bit they would become one of the zombies. Bob was one of a small group of survivors within safe walls. The walls were guarded with gas that was lit in case of an attack. The walls were a hundred feet high.

"Hello Bob," said an attractive women.

"Hey April," Bob replied.

Bob and April had been partners in work. They both worked at a small pet company. There were 13 survivors along with Bob's dog Jim. There were other small groups all around the world just like Bob's. Everything was good for Bob. They got free food, no crowded roads, free gas, and hundreds of free cars. Bob drove a Porchse Correra. It was red and it had black stripes. Bob walked up to a large building. He stepped inside. The building was a late 60's office building. Bob moved towards the lobby area.

"Hi everyone," Bob said.

"Hey Bob," they replied.

"So did you find anything?" Asked an old woman named Beth.

"Nothing, sorry."

Bob hade a lab underneath the building. He had been testing cures on cats. Bob walked up the stairs to the second floor and went to his apartment 293. Bob's apartment was fairly large. It had two double beds and a pull out couch. He had a big screen on the wall.

"Are you hungry Jim?" Bob asked.

"Bark," replied Jim.

Bob walked to the cupboard and pulled out a box of Munchies. He poured some into Jims bowl. Jim ate happily and Bob went to bed. Bob awoke to the sound of screaming. He picked up his .50 Cal. Sniper. Bob tore down the stairs and into the lobby. He proceeded forward and around the corner in the far side. As soon as he turned the corner he saw it. Beth was lying on the floor, she has a bite mark on her neck. Bob could see her expression. Her teeth were becoming longer and her eyes were turning blood shot.

"I'm sorry Beth," Bob said.

He pulled the trigger and sent a bullet into Beth chest.

"Bob!"

Bob whipped around and saw April.

"April!" Bob yelled.

April was running towards Bob and then an Army of zombies came plunging through the lobby ceiling. April had been killed instantly. Bob took off down the hallway. He threw the door opens to his room. He slammed the door and locked it. Bob raced over to Jim and held him. There they sat in the middle of the floor. Then there was…
