"Piper!" Waking with a startle, Piper jerked forward and hit her head on the bunk above her. She swore she heard Alex call her name but then again she could have been dreaming. Piper went to lay back down again when she glanced across at her bunk mates, only to find Red staring at her with a stern look.

"Are you not going to go and help her? Go, Piper, your woman needs you." Red slipped her eye mask back down as she shooed Piper out of her bed. The blonde woman heard her name be called again and she picked up her pace as she tiptoed a few cubes down to find Alex. Other inmates had started to mumble about shutting her up.

"Hey, Al, I'm here, it's okay." The blonde reached out and cupped Alex's face in her hand, stroking her cheek in a swift but calming motion. Piper quickly realised that her 'woman' as their prison-mother had called her, was asleep. Piper kissed Alex's hair and knelt down beside her, continuing to make soothing noises. Alex's eyes shot open with a flash and she looked like a deer in headlights, immediately retreating her head backwards away from Piper's. Piper just continued to caress her as she searched for an answer in her eyes. "You must've been talking in your sleep, but it's okay I'm here." The two of them shared silence as Alex readjusted her mind to where she was. After a few moments of no response from the brunette, Piper began to draw away from her; she knew something was wrong but she didn't want to pry. Although they were becoming closer again after Alex's breakthrough the day of the riot, Piper knew there were still boundaries between them.

"No," Alex whispered and abruptly grabbed Piper's wrist. "Stay…please." Piper simply nodded as she sat down into a more comfortable position, playing with Alex's hair and resting her chin on the metal bar of the bunk. Usually it was the other way around, or at least it used to be. When Piper first accepted that she would be seeing Alex around a lot, she allowed her to comfort her as she got used to prison life and Piper found herself seeking Alex out after a few months. Losing Alex and being betrayed by Stella happened all at once and Piper quickly found herself alone and in with the wrong crowd. It was due to sad circumstances that they came together again and although Alex was hurting, Piper was secretly pleased just to hold her girl again. Red was right, no matter what happened, Piper always thought of Alex as 'her woman', no one else's. Piper held back tears as she thought about her love with Nicky. Yes, Piper was pleased the two of them were so close now that Nicky had returned but she wanted Alex all to herself. Piper doesn't share when it comes to Alex, and everyone knew it.

Piper could see them from across the club as she was coming out of the restroom. Underneath the strobing light she saw the silhouette of Alex dancing alone and another figure of a petite girl, much like herself, move towards Alex and grind against her. Although Alex didn't make any movements to become closer to her, Piper practically ran across the dance-floor, swiftly wrapping her arms around her lover's waist. Alex looked her in the eyes with a lust that only came out for Piper and pulled her closer to her.

"Mine." Piper growled, claiming what was hers as she stared the other girl down. This girl was obviously drunk and apparently couldn't take a hint as she attempted to reach for Alex's arm, as if to pull her away. Piper couldn't stand anymore as she slapped the girl's hand away maliciously and ushered her girlfriend towards the door.

Alex took her hand and followed her lead without a look back at the stranger.

"That's my girl," Alex whispered as she swept Piper up into her arms and kissed her deeply, making Piper ask for more.
