Prologue

She stumbled on a dirt path. Wilderness around her was endless. Fierce wind was howling. It tried to tear apart her thin robe and broke her red hair with its claws. She tremblingly tighted her robe and looked up at sky. The dark clouds rolled up accompanied by thunder and lightning. Storm was coming.

She didn't know where she came from or where she wanted to go. She just walked forward with hard steps because of the strong wind.

A voice in her mind whispered a word again and again: Draco...Draco...

She frowned. What was Draco? A person, an item, or a place? She painfully grabbed her head, trying to remember something, anything. But her mind remained blank.

She remembered nothing.

Although her mind was a haze of fear and confusion, there was one thing unusually clear. She must walk along the path until the end.

The rain poured down. Her clothes got soaked immediately. The dirt under her feet turned muddy that made her stumbled steps become slower.

One step, two step, three step.

She slipped. Her shoes sinked into mud. When she pulled them out, there were only bare feet. But she couldn't stop. So she walked forward with her bare feet.

Her vision was blurred from the rainfall. As night fell, a darkness had descended on the wilderness. Her legs were tired. Her teeth chattered with the cold. Her head was dizzy.

She would die on this wilderness, wouldn't she?

She didn't want to die.

She run with her last strength. She knew her whole body would spattered with mud. But she didn't care.

She suddenly noticed some lights ahead of her. She quicked her pace. There should be warm blankets and hot soup there.

She run as fast as she could in storm. But however hard she tried, she still couldn't near it. It seemed to be a mirage in rain curtain. Those lights hid in the distant darkness and sparkled alluringly. Desperate tears and rain steamed down her face. She was like a leaf of a boat that floated on boundless ocean and never reached shore. She didn't know where she came from or where she wanted to go. She just gritted her teeth and run to those untouchable lights. How long would she run? It could take her an eternal and sucked out her life. As the rain growing harder, endless wilderness seemed to swallow her...

oOo

She woke up with a start, tightly clutching her quilt. She sat in dark and breathed heavily.

A body beside her sat up along. A male huskily asked, "Had a nightmare again?"

"Um." She numbly said after a long while.

The man brushed her tear-stained cheek with his thumb and took her in his arms.

"What did you dream of?"

"That wilderness. I would never reach the end."

He put his chin on the top of her head. "With me here, you don't have to be scared."

She just dully said,"um."

He got her to lie down and held her tightly, giving her forehead a light kiss. And he said again," With me here, you don't have to be scared."
She looked up at him. His bright grey eyes seemed to contain the whole galaxy in the dim moonlight. She managed a smile to him and held his neck with her both hands, hiding her face in his warm neck.

He relaxed and stroke her sweaty back until he fell asleep.

She listened to his low breath, slowly opening her eyes. Tears on her cheeks were dry. She bit her lower lip hard until her mind was more clear because of pain.

She remembered. She remembered everything.

She neither was Ginny Malfoy nor Ginny Black. She was Ginny Weasley.
