Deathly Hallows Poem
Tenebris lumen, an old Latin quote,
Represents so much of what the Golden Trio must do.
After seven years of friendship, after seven years of trust.
The time has come to enter the fray, and begin the deadly hunt.
With empty words and secrets hanging so tantalizingly in the air;
Dead ends, dark alleys, and fruitless attempts are used to claw out the end.
With little hope and with little progress;
Almost as though a Dementor glided past.
The Golden Trio's spirits are swiped, leaving only heartfelt gloom and despair.
In order to snap one another out of their senses, the words of each latter rang through several decibels.
In the words of Hermione, the brilliant one: "Books! And cleverness! There are more important things — friendship and bravery."
In the thoughts of Ron, the lovable sidekick: "We need a plan of action, come on! Where haven't we looked? Let's go through it again."
Hidden deep inside the heart of Harry, the boy-who-lived, the chosen one, who subconsciously knew the truth: "I'm going to keep going until I succeed — or die. Don't think I don't know how this might end. I've known it for years."
They have hope for the future, sweet and unknown.
And together they see how much they've all grown.
Bookworm, Lightning Scar, and Ocean Eyes too.
Blue meets Green, Green meets Brown, and Brown finally meets Blue.
All three are sure of what they're meant to do.
Together they'll fight. They'll win. They'll make it through.
