A/N This is a alternative ending to shonamaryhadalittlelamb's story, Lucky to be in love with my best friend. She asked me to write this for her. As any regular readers, or any one who read the A/N',s would know that basically I have helped her write most of the story, so I know the plot. Obviously you will have to have finished Lucky. If you were unhappy with the ending, or just wanted to see happy Sam, this is it. Of course he's not entirely happy but that's good enough. Hope you think I have done the story justice.

A blonde figure stood on top of the hill, his expression sombre, his shoulders slumped. His hands were wrapped around a buggy, where a little child lay sleeping. A little white gloved hand was holding onto one side of the buggy, the other holding a bigger purple gloved hand. The other purple glove clutched a small bouquet of snow white lilies. The foursome trooped down the snow covered hill towards a grave. Coming to a halt, the man put the buggy to a halt, a tear falling down his wrinkled cheek. The two girls moved to place the lilies on the grave. The youngest stumbled slightly but her older cousin held her upright.
Sam watched his and Quinn's granddaughters place the flowers by the grave. The grave read "Lucy Quinn Evans. Loving Mother, Daughter, Wife, Friend and Grandmother. 1993 - 2054, Aged 61". Quinn had died of cancer, but she had lived a long and prosperous life, with her 4 children, Isla Olivia, Isobel Sophie, Elliott Russell and Bethany Rachel (A/N I just made Beths full name up, but I think it suits her). They had gained custody of Beth when she was 14 after Shelby had been caught in a house fire. It had hit both Quinn and Beth hard, but it was fairly clear that Beth was happy to have been reunited with her biological mother. She had fully embraced her new life with her mother and step-dad, as well as her half siblings. Quinn had suffered complications during Isobel's birth, but, despite being rendered barren, had made a full recovery.
Sam stood at the grave with Isla's three children, 12 year old Rosalind Marie,7 year old Jessica May and one year old Lucas Sam Wright. Beth had four children of her own, while Isobel had one little boy, and Elliott had twin girls. Lucas was the youngest and Quinn had just been around long enough to hold him. They had eventually moved from the centre of New York, to a small town just north of it. It was a quite town and Beth had benefited from the move, ready to turn over a new leaf with her new family. They still saw the rest of the glee club and the children, and grandchildren, were all close. Though Sam was still upset from losing his wife, he had his family that he and his wife had been proud to raise. He was right about Izzy being a singer, as she had taken after her favourite aunt, Auntie Rachel, and had taken the Broadway world by storm. Isla had become a teacher in the local elementary school, Beth had become a beautician and Elliott had become a doctor, and their parents couldn't be more proud of them. Sam knew that soon he would be joining Quinn, but he could, at least, look back and smile at the life himself and Quinn had forged together and the beautiful children they had raised.
A/N Thank you for reading this story, please review, it would mean a lot to both me and Shona :) 3 xxx
