Unexplainable feelings.
Kanda was no stranger to it, hell he was its friend, comrade. Yet somehow, there was one boy who managed to wriggle his way into Kanda's head and heart.
One stubborn boy, Allen.
Kanda cursed for being too weak around him, whenever he saw the familiar crop of annoyingly soft white hair, Kanda would feel weak at the knees.
He swore to protect the boy (to himself of course) but the stupid jackass always managed to fight for someone else. Lavi, Lenalee, Krory, Miranda and any other human being in fact.
Kanda hated himself when he saw Allen hurt, weak and screaming in pain. Why couldn't he protect the boy dammit? The Japanese man would give anything to be in Allen's place when he was hurt, unable to bear the sounds of agony.
Seeing the boy in hospital caused Kanda's stomach to lurch and he brutally kicked anything in sight while shouting out a string of curses when finally he collapsed in the chair near Allen.
Allen watching the older man behave in that way, hated himself for being in hospital, hated himself for not being able to wrap his arms around the man and comfort him, whispering sweet nothings into the other's ear standing on his toes to reach Kanda's height.
But most of all, he hated Kanda.
For being the only person in the world that caused so much heart ache, worse than what any Akuma or Noah could do.
He hated the Japanese man for breaking so easily just because he was in a hospital.
A single tear ran down his face as he looked at the man lying on the bed just a few inches away from him. Kanda's face scrunched up as if he was experiencing a bad nightmare.
Allen tried the best he could to wake the older up. But it proved to be a hard task as Allen could hardly move at all.
He was restrained to shouting (not very loudly) his love's name.
"Kanda! Wake up! Please!" Allen pleaded.
Said man woke from the noise and jolted up to see Allen's face filled with tears.
He quickly wiped them away and forced Allen to look at him, gently caressing his face with warm touches.
"I desire what I don't have,
What I don't have,
You do." Kanda recited, one single tear drop falling from him as well.
"Why are you crying for me?" Allen's expression was pained it was his entire fault for making the beautiful man in front of him spill.
Kanda kissed Allen's lips for the first time, gently brushing over his lips hovering a second before whispering, face a millimetre away.
"Because I love you."
Allen had always been the one who wriggled into his world, making unexplained feelings rise.
