Geddy here! This is a poem I wrote in an English lesson, it didn't originally have anything to do with the Hinger Games until my teacher said it was too short. So, I turned it into a HG poem. Kinda.
This is set in the HG (book 1) as Katniss is running from the forest fire in the arena. It's in a wolf's POV.
Disclaimer: I do not own the Hunger Games (only 3 copies off the books), I only own this little wolfie I will now call Fred :P
His amber eyes shone in the night,
Teeth glinted in the moonlight; a lazy smile.
His ears flicked forward and back,
Forward and back.
He laid in wait of his prey,
His fur black and white with a sprinkle of red.
Moss tangled itself in his fur.
The night was silent; the forest was alive.
Suddenly, the night was not so silent.
There was a threatening orange glow in the distance,
The crackling brought him to his feet.
His instinces in control,
He sprang from his hiding place,
Taking flight from the fire.
Everything was in a blur. Running. Prancing.
Nothing stood out to him.
Nothing except the girl.
The girl on fire.
