A/N: Yes, I know, it's absolutely shocking to see me doing a 'no pairings' fic, isn't it? Yes, yes. Anyway, I know that Tobi is Madara, etc, etc. You don't need to tell me that and go off on a flaming rampage. It's cool. I'm just changing it a tiny bit, so, take deep breaths and calm down. If you do, however go off at me because of this story, I will be very mean and snarky in my reply to you. Thank you. And now, m'dearies, you can read the story! ^_~
PROLOGUE:
As Kakashi stood at the funeral of his best friend, he finally realised. Obito was dead. It wasn't something that he could prevent now. Perhaps, if he had listened to his best friend, this wouldn't have happened. If he had just shown a little emotion; if he hadn't been so hung up over himself, then Obito would still be here. Smiling, like he always did, making up some ridiculous excuse for his tardiness. But that was never going to happen again. Obito was gone. And there was no bringing him back.
Kakashi would forever hold a grudge against the man that called himself Madara. It was his fault. His entire fault. If it weren't for that man, then the Yondaime would still be alive. Kushina would still be alive and the Kyuubi would have still been sealed inside her. Not inside an innocent child. A now orphaned innocent child. Kakashi vowed to protect this child. He would make his teacher proud.
This time, it was his own fault. If he hadn't been so upset over Obito, if he hadn't forgotten his vow, then none of this would have happened. He wouldn't be carrying his half-dead student on his back. A Chidori had been slammed through the blonde child's heart and lung. It was Kakashi's fault. He had taught that technique to the attacker. If Kakashi had realised that Naruto was Obito's legacy (not Sasuke) then none of this would have happened. But then again, it could all be linked back to him. 'Madara.'

Wow. That's unbearably short. Forgive me ladies and gentlemen for the crappy grammar, spelling, punctuation and overall plot. It gets better. Maybe. I'm definitely not making any promises. Nope. None at all. And please, no questions about Demon Child. I might rewrite it. I'm not sure. Really, I'm not. But, if I do rewrite it, it will most likely have no pairings. Jeez. I'm on a no pairings roll. ^_^;
