Intro
This intro describes a few events that have happened to Obi-Wan Kenobi in the past two
years since he arrived on Tattoine with Luke. It doesn't go into full detail (yet) and
events from the series- The Last of the Jedi- did not, according to my story, happen.
After the intro a real story will begin, with an actual plot.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Obi-Wan glanced anxiously below from his position at the ledge of the cliff. Mos Eisly laid not all so far from him. He could see the shapes of many shop owners closing down for the night, and walking at a fast pace home. No shop owner would like to be caught unarmed in Mos Eisly after dark. There were to many in it that would never think twice of attacking you and stealing whatever was on your person.
Obi-Wan sat and rested his back against a rock to wait. The suns were only just beginning their descend out of the horizon. Soon, Obi-Wan would have the dark cover of night to act by. Recently, the hours of darkness had been his one and only partner. The sun had abandoned him along. Like almost everything else, he thought.
Moving in broad daylight was no longer safe. Not since the Stormtroopers had arrived. Stormtroopers were ever alert but the ones that had arrived in Mos Eisly a few weeks ago were abnormally vigilant. Almost like they were Clones. It's possible, Obi-Wan thought. Though some Stormtroopers were no longer the originals from Kamino, it was rumored that there were still Clones under those white masks. Perhaps the Emperor had issued his elite troopers here for a purpose. Perhaps the Emperor knew he was here. That was what Obi-Wan wanted to find out. He closed his eyes and traveled deep into his own thoughts.
Over the past two years Obi-Wan had wandered in and out of the spaceport, visiting it's shops, it's countless stalls, but mostly, it's bars. Obi-Wan's main purpose of going to the bars was for information. If there was one place in the world were more species gathered together from over the universe, and told of tales they had collected on their travels, it
was at a bar. Some were smart and sold information for money, or more drinks. Others spilled it out accidentally, while at the same time spilling out their drink. Both occurred for the same reason. True, Obi-Wan had never been much of a drinker. How could he have been? He was previously a member of the council in the Jedi Order. He had then had to set a good example. Now, however, he visited local taverns with ease, and could navigate through the different types quite professionally. He only ever drank one glass, each time he stopped in a bar. He knew the varieties of drinks because he tested a new one on each occasion. These occasions were…occasional though.
He had a more important job. It was true, that his "Baby Sitting Job" (Which was what he called it when locals asked him what he did for a living) was becoming less and less
timely. The child was no longer a baby, and his services were becoming more unnecessary. Until now. Now, the presence of the Empire had arrived. This wasn't part of the plan. Obi-Wan had hoped that the Emperor would be absent from the Outer-Rim for a more extended period of time.
Tonight Obi-Wan's mission to watch over the son of Skywalker's difficulty level would rise. All he could do now was find out the reason why he suddenly had the Empire athis doorstep. It wasn't much, but it was his only option of action. Besides, he had a plan.
"Everything always works better with a plan." Kenobi thought. He opened his eyes. Night had finally arrived. The flicker of lights in homes and taverns could be seen below. Now would be the opportune moment. Obi-Wan pulled his cloak around him and started down the cliff. The plan was in motion. It was to late to turn back.
